FC Mobile Beta Players and Squads in the Limited Beta

OVR, items, and Guest clubs that do not carry over.

Players Hub

Player items in the FC Mobile Limited Beta look familiar if you play live Ultimate Team: an OVR number, a position, a handful of stats, and — in this test — PlayStyles that give the card an identity. The trap is treating the Guest club like your live club. This hub exists to separate those two piles of cards. The Limited Beta (also called FC Mobile 27 Beta) is a standalone app (com.ea.gp.fifamobilebeta), Guest login only, with no account linking and no progress carry-over when the window closes on 13 September 2026 (UTC).

What a player item is in the beta

A player item is the card you drop into a squad slot. OVR is a summary of attributes. Position tells the Game Plan where that body should stand. PlayStyles tell you which actions get a Silver (level 1) or Gold (level 2) boost. In the beta you should read the badge before you read the OVR. A slightly lower OVR Rapid winger will feel more like the feature EA wants tested than a higher OVR item with nothing but generic shooting.

The original 18 PlayStyles and the four Limited Beta additions are catalogued on the PlayStyles guide and graded on the PlayStyles tier list. Use those pages when a pack gives you two items at the same position. This hub will not repeat every Silver/Gold bullet; it will tell you how items behave as a club.

Guest squads versus the live Ultimate Team club

Live FC Mobile is an ongoing Ultimate Team economy: coins, gems, drafts, Rank Up Tokens, and redeem codes that land in an inbox tied to an EA account. The Limited Beta is none of that.

  • Login is Guest only. You cannot link the beta profile to the EA account that holds your live club.
  • In-game purchases are disabled. There are no rewarded ads.
  • Codes entered at the EA redemption site apply to the live account. They do not stock the Guest profile. See the codes hub and the Rank Up guide.
  • When the test ends, the Guest club is gone. Stars, OVR, and chemistry-like links do not migrate.

That sounds harsh. It is also the point. You can try a Clinical Finisher pair, a Slide Tackle centre-back, or a Dead Ball CAM without protecting a market price. The squad building page is the practical checklist for assembling that throwaway XI.

OVR still matters, just not as a religion

OVR decides contested duels, keeper reach, and how often a weak foot or a bad animation is forgiven. It does not decide whether Incisive Through Pass finds Rapid. If two items are within a few OVR and one has the PlayStyle your Game Plan needs, start the PlayStyle. If the gap is huge and the higher item can play the position, start the higher item and accept a quieter identity.

Do not chase live-game rank colours inside the beta as if they were a second OVR. Rank Up Tokens are a live-game currency that codes such as NUMEROUNO have handed out in 100-token bundles. They upgrade the live club. They do not patch the Guest item you are testing this afternoon. Keep that distinction or you will waste time on the wrong app.

Two modes, two roster problems

Head to Head / Division Rivals wants a sharp starting XI and a short bench of like-for-like replacements. You will live in four Game Plans (see the Formations tier list and the Game Plans guide). Overlap positions so a striker can play wide and a centre-back can step into a back five.

Gauntlet Mode wants depth. Each round has matches with objectives, Traits, and House Rules. Each player item has a limited number of appearances. You win matches and earn Stars. If your club is eleven names and a prayer, you will fail the third match even if those eleven names are the highest OVR in the Guest pool. Duplicate identities: two Rapid-ish wide players, two Anticipate-ish defenders, a second passer with Tiki Taka or Incisive Through Pass. The Gauntlet Mode guide explains the appearance budget; squad building shows how to draft around it.

Where items come from in a Guest club

You receive a starter pool, then whatever the beta build hands you through play. There is no webstore, no offer wall, and no live-code inbox. That scarcity is useful. It forces you to ask whether a formation is S-tier for you. 4-2-3-1 Wide is S on the formation list if you have a CAM; it is a mistake if the Guest pool gave you two strikers and a holding midfielder. 4-4-2 exists in EA’s official screenshot partly because two forwards are a common pack reality.

If you are still unlocking the app, read how to download, getting started, and beta access. Android Play Store countries for this window: Singapore, Malaysia, Canada, India, Romania, Argentina, Colombia, and Indonesia. iOS is limited TestFlight invites from official EA social accounts. Those access rules do not change how items play; they only change whether you have a Guest club at all.

How this hub splits the work

  • Squad building — how to pick a starting XI, a Game Plan package, and Gauntlet copies without a transfer market.
  • Rank Up guide — what Rank Up Tokens from live codes actually do, and why they never touch the Guest profile.
  • Star Scout — Guest clue-and-refresh pulls testers recorded in the beta, not live Extra Time Scout.

A sane way to judge a new pack

When the beta gives you an item, ask four questions in order:

  1. Can they play a position I already need in two different Game Plans?
  2. Do they add a PlayStyle I do not already own on another item?
  3. Are they a Gauntlet copy of an identity I already start (Rapid, Anticipate, Clinical Finisher)?
  4. Is the OVR gap so large that the badge does not matter?

If the answers are no, no, no, and the OVR is only average, discard mentally and move on. You are not building a museum. You are building a test bench that dies on 13 September 2026. Write down which identities felt real — Slide Tackle on a centre-back, Dead Ball on a CAM, Driven Lob Through over a high line — and take those notes back to the live club. The cards stay in the Guest app. The knowledge does not.

Keep controls in the loop so a Gold Finesse Expert is something you can actually trigger. A player item is only as good as the input that fires its PlayStyle. That is the entire job of this hub: make the Guest roster readable so the rest of the wiki has something honest to rank.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers testers actually search for.

Does my Limited Beta squad carry over to live FC Mobile?

No. Guest login only, no account linking, no progress carry-over. Treat every item as a test piece. The window closes 13 September 2026 (UTC). See Limited Beta notes for the official constraints.

Should I pick the highest OVR item every time?

Only if the PlayStyle and position also fit. A lower-OVR Rapid winger often teaches you more than a generic higher card. Grade badges on the PlayStyles tier list before you lock the XI.

Why do I need so many players for Gauntlet?

Each player item has a limited number of appearances per round, and rounds contain several matches. Duplicate identities instead of one perfect XI. The checklist is on squad building and the rules are on Gauntlet Mode.

Can I redeem codes into the Guest beta profile?

No. Codes at the EA redemption site apply to the live FC Mobile account. Rank Up Tokens and draft vouchers land there. Use the codes hub and the Rank Up guide for the live club.

Where should I go after I have a starter XI?

Save four Game Plans with the Formations tier list, then play H2H and one Gauntlet round. Systems sit in the Guides Hub. This hub stays focused on items, OVR, and the Guest versus live split.
